All-Star Camp Featuring The Bahamas' Own Romad Dean!
3rd Annual Cocodimama Basketball Camp
Lutra Island Hoops *Powered by Cocodimama, in conjunction with the Eleuthera Basketball Association, proudly presented the 3rd Annual Cocodimama Basketball camp in the summer of 2024! The camp took place on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Each year, the focus of the camp is to help develop youth basketball players on the island of Eleuthera, while giving them an chance to showcase their skills in front of veteran coaches. Starting with this annual All-Star Basketball Camp, Lutra Island Hoops is committed to community empowerment and building opportunities through basketball.
This year's two-day clinic was even more exciting than the last, once again featuring the Bahamas' own Romad Dean, now entering his junior year at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York. Dean served as camp coach along with Steve Turner of USA Basketball and Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C.
Dean and Turner were be joined by veteran coaches from Eleuthera, Freeport, and the U.S. to help create an unforgettable experience for the participants -- talented Eleutheran ball players grades 6th through 12th.

Lutra Island Hoops was born in the summer of 2022 when a group of coaches, business owners, college players, and fans of the game came together to make a difference for youth basketball players on the Island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. Powered by Cocodimama Charming Resort, LIH hosts an annual All-Star Basketball Camp for Eleutheran boys, and aspires to build more opportunities on the island and beyond!

Our mission is to provide youth basketball players in Eleuthera with opportunities to develop the skills they need to be successful at the next level. We are committed to:
1) improving the experience of the players by exposing them to top coaches in the sport, 2) creating a pipeline to future success and, 3) developing a plan to construct a state-of-the-art training facility they can call home.

Check out our Annual All-Star Cocodimama Basketball Camp now in its 3rd year! This annual two-day clinic connects top-notch coaches and athletes from the Bahamas and the U.S. with young Eleutheran athletes for a weekend of learning, playing, and skill development. Players leave the experience with new skills and a better understanding of what it takes to play at the next level.
